Hello, my name is Samantha Peacock

And today I'm re-branding myself

All my life I have wanted to change my name and be a different person

The name Samantha, to me, is connected to my real life

Here, I want to be the person I have always wanted to be, but was just to afraid to do it

From now on, this blog, the collection of stories from my life, here I will be known as Amata

Today I become absolute:

Viewed or existing independently and not in relation to other things; not relative or comparative.

Thank you guys for being supportive

Should I Change My Blogging Name? 3-2-16

So you guys all know my name in real life is Sam Peacock

But I kinda hate that my name can't used for anything else but roll call in school.

Samantha Vintage sounded nice at first, but its lost it's ring.

What should I do, should I change my name?

What should I change it to?

Let me know :)

Best Coordinating Colors 3-2-16

So I would say I have some artistic ability, kind of

So I decided that not only could I teach people a few things about color and certain pigments, this lesson could help with a lot of other things too, such as creating outfits that match or designing a room aesthetic.

I'm going to start off with a list of coordinating colors;
  • Grays and blues
  • Black and White
  • Orange and gray
  • Rose gold and beige
  • Gray and muted greens
Jewel tone combinations:
  • Burgundy and navy
  • Burgundy and beige
  • Emerald and navy
  • Ruby and indigo
Some tips in coordinating colors/patterns for outfits:
  • Never, I repeat, never, pair up pink and black, to most people it looks tacky
  • To wear a pattern and have it work, have one piece of your ensemble be a pattern, all the rest should be solid colors
  • The solid colors in a patterned look should only be colors that are close to or in the patterned piece itself
  • Patterned skirts and solid scarves, or the other way around, never two solid, never two patterned
  • Only wear patterned shoes in a look where there is no pattern, or the top/outerwear/scarf are the same pattern as the shoes
Tips for coordinating room color:
  • In a room where there is an excess of two pieces of functional furniture (for example two or more couches/chairs) have one solid piece and two patterned pieces, this can only work if the solid piece takes up the same amount of space as the patterned pieces.
  • For example, if there is room for a couch/love seat and two chairs (If the chairs pushed together take up a similar amount of floor space as the couch/love seat) have the two chairs be patterned and the couch/ love seat be solid.
  • If there are no patterns in the room taking up a decent amount of space, buy patterned curtains with a coordinating color pallet
  • Try to stay away from dark wall colors, it makes the room seem smaller
  • Go for lighter walls and darker furniture, if darker colors speak to you

I really hope these tips were helpful to you guys, I will be coming back here and updating whenever I can, or when I find out something new in room decor or style trends

Hope you guys have a wonderful day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond

Accidents- Original Poem By Sam Peacock 1-13-16

There is no way to understand my mind

Sometimes I look and I do not see the things I hope to find

Instead I see things that make me terrified

People ask about it, sometimes I wish I had lied

I know I'm running out of time to be confident

But sometimes I look and I see accidents

They replay and replay until I break

Maybe I'm too out of date, maybe I'm the wrong make

I am an extra corner piece without peace

These memories, they overwhelm me

But these accidents destroy me

Hope you have an amazing day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond

Rest in Peace 12-18-15

I don't know what to write about today.
Right now the world is filled with dismay.
It feels as though the world is weeping.
I close my eyes, and try to keep from peeking.
But its impossible not to look.
A great person this cruel world took.
We should try to keep our happiness.
Because although she shall be missed.
Sadness is not what she would want for us.
Staying strong and happy is a must.
And try we shall to keep her memory alive.
Her peace we might just revive.

Rest in Peace Taryn

Photography Expeditions 12-10-15

I love photography, and every once in a while, I go on a walk with my friends, by myself, or with my family (yes I do go outside, but it's not often).  I have this really bad habit on these walks of taking twenty pictures of everything, so my photography folder on my phone has over four hundred photos on it (don't judge me).  I decided to share some of the recent pictures with you today.
This picture I took with my phone on an expedition with my friends.
This is from the same expedition, the day after Halloween
This is from my second ever expedition with my brothers and my dog
Sorry I lied, this isn't apart of an expedition, but this is the picture I took that inspired me to have one around my neighborhood.

Hope you enjoyed this small post
